Upload Media

This topic tells you how to upload voice prompts, announcements, and hold music for use in your services and queues.

Prerequisites

Do the following:

Use your own tools and resources to create the media items.
Ensure that audio is in A-law/mu-law/16-bit (linear) PCM for WAV files. The sampling rate must be 8KHz, mono. During upload, the system attempts to convert files not matching this format but quality cannot be guaranteed. The part of the file name before the extension must contain alphanumeric characters only (spaces are permitted).
The size of each audio file must not exceed 10MB.

Procedure

Open the Configuration panel by clicking the button in the top right of the CONDUCTOR window.

If is not visible, switch to View mode or click .

Select Settings to open the Settings sub-panel and then enable the Upload Media control.
Enter the details in the sub-panel:

Field or Option	Description
Overwrite	Enable this if you want CONDUCTOR to overwrite any identically-named audio file, where encountered.
Drag and drop a prompt file here or click	Either click anywhere in this area of the dialog and then select the audio file to upload, or drag the file from the folder location into this area. You may upload one file at a time.

The audio file is now available for including in queues and services.
